Dear friend,
Invite nonchristians to visit your church on Christmas Eve and around New Years.
Expect the visitors to come... and when they do... offer them a red rose sticker for their shirt, blouse or jacket.
Why? Because:
1. It will make your church visitors feel special and welcome.
and
2. It makes it easier for your members to see these special guests and come over to introduce themselves.

What can You do in December?
Dear Christian friend,
Today's the first day of December.
What can you and/or your church do to reach out with the Gospel of Jesus Christ during this month?
Here's a few ideas that might help...
1. Have a song service where all the songs have to do with the promise of Messiah and the birth of Jesus.
2. Setup a 'live' nativity scene -- with 'live' animals.
3. Have a birthday party for Jesus!
4. Have a Christmas Eve candle-lighting service.
etc.
Whatever you do... Invite your friends and neighbors to this event!!
So what are your ideas? Post them out here on this blog; won't you?
God bless,

Back to school... What does this mean to your church?
Hello again, Christian.
It is time for the kids to go back to school... are you ready?
You might have gone shopping to purchase school supplies for your own children.
But what about your local congregation?
What have you done to help parents and students in your community get ready for this?
Honestly, it's not too late.
You might try on one these ideas... or come up with one of your own...
1. Have a Back to School Transition Seminar at your church. Invite local people from your community and/or school districts to talk about what a new student can expect when entering high school or middle school.
2. Offer some free school supplies.
3. Have a prayer breakfast for pray for students and teachers.
4. Setup some homework help sessions at your church -- after school and before Wednesday evening services.
etc.
So what are your ideas?
Please share with me via email to iseekthelost@yahoo.com
God bless you as you reach out to your community,

Soulwinner Supplies reminds you to followup with your church visitors
Hey, christian friend...
Just wanted to remind you to followup with your church visitors.
As you know it is always important to make these guests feel appreciated.
But now, as August is rapidly approaching and your VBS (Vacation Bible School) or Summer Spectular or whatever you're calling yours might be over with (for 2009 anyway)... please, please remember to find ways to reach out to your VBS church visitors and say 'Thank You' and 'Please come again'.
You might wanna contact these important people via email -- I sure hope you collected their email addresses when they visited -- and/or via a phone call and/or via a letter... or contact them in several different ways.
So, be encouraged in the Lord to get out there and followup... and remember to smile when you do.
God bless,

Soulwinner Supplies asks, "Are you ready for Mother's Day?"
Soulwinner Supplies asks, "Are you ready for Mother's Day?"
I've written about this before. And I hope that you are ready for tomorrow... when hopefully, there will be church visitors at your congregation... some for the very first time. Moms, grandmas, and nephews, cousins, sisters, brothers, in some cases, the whole family will be coming to church with Mom and then, going out to lunch or brunch.
Yes; today is Saturday. And tomorrow is Mother's Day!
If you forgot, don't panic.
Here are a few ideas about how to help make these church visitors feel welcome:
1) Give them something that you already have in your church building as a free gift. Maybe this is a new testament, book, pencil, bookmark, etc. Look around in your supply closet.
2) Stop by and get some donuts on your way to church. Give these away to your church visitors.
3) Prepare coffee and juice for these special guests.
4) Type up a poem into a Microsoft Word document. Print this out and make copies of this poem on some nice colorful paper. Give one copy to each of the Moms in your assembly. Yes; the church visitors and the members too.
Think about it and you can come up with something, I'm sure.
Email me and tell me how it went.

Mother's Day...
Hey, J. Yarbrough here.
This is a quick reminder that you only have a week until Mother's Day.
You still have time to get ready for people who will be coming as church visitors.

your church visitors -- 2 important dates in May...
Hello.
J. Yarbrough here.
I wanted to remind you about two important dates in May that you might want to plan something and invite visitors to your church.
One is the National Day of Prayer and your congregation might host a breakfast on this day and invite people from the community.
And the other is Mother's Day which is traditionally a day when a lot of church visitors can be found at churches across the country. Sometimes children will visit Mom or Grandma for the weekend and attend worship services with her on Sunday morning.
What about you? Are you ready for these church visitors?
Get ready... the clock is ticking... and you don't want to miss this opportunity to make your church visitors feel welcome.
This is J. Yarbrough, your evangelism coach, and I just wanted to remind you about these 2 important days in May.
God bless,
J.

Soulwinner Supplies asks, "Are you ready for Easter?"
J. Yarbrough of Soulwinner Supplies asks, "Are you ready for Easter?" because next Sunday is Easter Sunday and hopefully you will have a lot of church visitors on Easter Sunday.
It is not too late to make plans to give a free gift to each of the guests who visit your congregation next Sunday morning.
What can you give these church visitors?
I think something homemade like banana bread or chocolate chip cookies would be wonderful.
Also, a new testament or Bible might be nice.
As well as some literature about your local church and the ministries/services that you offer to these church visitors.
And try to get their email addresses too.
Some churches like to give these guests a red rose sticker for their lapel... this makes it easier for the members the recognize who the visitors are.
What ideas do you have? Won't you share them with me?

Set your goals for Christian Evangelism and Church Visitors
Hey, Christian.
Its January and time to set both your personal goals and goals for your church for Evangelism.
How many Bible studies will your personally do?
How many church visitors will you invite to your church?
What about missionaries? How many will you support?
How much money is available to these activities?
And... do these goals glorify God?
So remember to set your goals for Christian Evangelism and Church Visitors for 2009...

What does your church building look like...?
What does your church building look like... inside and out?
Yes; that's what I said. What does the building look like?
How old is it?
Does it need a new coat of paint? Or new carpeting?
What about the parking lot... Does it need resurfacing?
Who really cares anyway?
Well, christian friend, when a church visitor comes to your church building for the very first time... you want to make a good first impression, don't you?
Go for a walk around the property and take some notes and some pictures. Then, report your results to your church leadership. Let them know what you found and make some suggestions for improvement. This will make your church property look better and church visitors will be more impressed.
